When you open the Instagram app, tap the Reels icon.

To enter Create mode, tap the camera icon at the top.

Below the record button, there’s a tab that says template. Tap that!

Now you can scroll through a list of Reels templates. Click the one you want to imitate.

Follow the prompts to select photos or videos from your camera. These will be inserted and synced to the Reels’ timing.

Go to settings and then post!

Save your video to your device after you have edited it.

In Hootsuite open Composer mode. Select the Instagram account that you wish to post to.

Tap Reel above the content text field. Upload your video and add captions.

You can adjust additional settings, preview your reel, and then tap Schedule to view later.

You can choose a publication time manually or let the recommendation engine recommend the best time to post for maximum engagement.

Go to your profile, tap the Highlight that you wish to convert into a Reel.

While the Highlight is playing tap the three horizontal lines at the bottom right. This will open a menu with a variety of options. Select Convert to.

You’ll be presented with some suggested audio which your clips will automatically sync to. Tap Skip to take this task to Instagram AI. You’ll be taken directly to the editing page, where you can add sound effects and such.

Tap Next for a caption or to adjust settings before posting.
