Although technically the new feature was available in 2021, it was only available to a limited number of users. Google is now slowly ramping up a tool they call “Organise keyword into ad group.” This was first brought out to our attention by Tauqueer Aziziz on Twitter, and confirmed today by a Google spokesperson.

What Google said. Google today confirmed the new feature with a statement:

You can always manually add keywords to ad group (manually choosing which ones to place where). This feature allows you to use an automated machine-learning system that suggests which ad groups are best for keywords.

Advertisers who have thousands of keywords/ad group to sort through will be able to save time and effort. You can still manually add keywords.

Why we care. This new feature automatically allocates keywords to relevant ad groups. It is designed to save advertisers time. Be cautious, as with all automation. Test, analyze, adjust as needed.
