Google has resolved an issue in Google Analytics 3 where the Search Console query report, aka Universal Analytics, did not populate. The data stopped coming in on October 1st, but Google fixed it the next day and refilled the report with the correct data.

I have verified that the data in the Universal Analytics Search Console queries report is fully populated.

What was the problem? Google Analytics, specifically Universal Analytics 3 and not Google Analytics 4 did not show any query data in the integrated Search Console reporting after Oct 1, 2022. If you attempt to access your query data in Acquisition > Search Console > Questions, you will see that the data for the previous several days is not shown.

This is what it looked like. Here’s a screenshot that I took from one of my Google Analytics profiles.

Fixed. This report now shows all query data that would otherwise be displayed in Google Search Console or Google Analytics 4.

John Mueller from Google informed us that this was fixed via Twitter:

Why We care . It is now available if you used the report to generate reports for clients or managers. We were a bit concerned that the report wouldn’t be fixed by Google due to its plans to sunset UA3 and GA4, but Google did fix it.
